Exam Prep Courses via Webinar  

Global OSHA Exam Prep courses via instructor-led live webinar help safety professionals prepare for certifications exams such as the Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), and Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification exams administered by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). 

 

These courses consist of live webinar presentations and discussions which provide a comprehensive overview of exam blueprint domains.  Students also engage through self-study assignments, knowledge checks, and review of representative sample questions. The courses include quizzes on all subjects necessary to prepare students to pass the exams.  Additional materials include a study guide, sample exam with hundreds of questions, and prep outline.  Students have access to the online course for 12 months after completion.

Course #430 ASP/CSP Exam Prep

This comprehensive course prepares qualified candidates to pass the Associate Safety Professional (ASP) and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification exams administered by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).  This unique crossover course approach capitalizes on the alignment between the exam blueprints and domains to provide an enhanced learning experience for ASP and CSP candidates. 

 

This course consists of live presentation and discussions which provide a comprehensive overview of both exams’ blueprint domains.  Students also engage through self-study assignments, knowledge checks, and review of representative sample questions. The course includes quizzes on all subjects necessary to prepare students to pass the exams.

#440 CHST Exam Prep

This course prepares qualified candidates to pass the Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification exam administered by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).  The CHST is designed for individuals who demonstrate competency and work part-time or full-time in health and safety activities devoted to the prevention of construction illnesses and injuries. The CHST certification meets national standards for certifications.  It is designed for practitioners who fill job site safety positions on construction projects.  Many construction safety professionals use the CHST as a stepping-stone to greater roles in safety and health and, in some cases, to the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification. 

Exam Prep Course topics include Safety Programs, Training Methods and Instructional Materials, Leadership and communication, Incident Investigation, Excavation, Industrial Hygiene, Confined Space, Emergency Preparedness, Math, Working at Heights, Fire Protection, GHS, Electrical, Cranes, Hoisting and Rigging, Scaffolds, Tool Safety, and Respiratory Protection.

#501 General Safety Trainer Course Webinar

Global OSHA live webinar courses provide an instructor-led experience in a distance learning format.  These intermediate level courses consists of live webinar presentations and class discussions.  Students work through self-paced knowledge checks to prepare for the final exam.  These courses are typically eight hours in length.  

#308 Authorized Accident Investigator

Course Description:  This training is intended for individuals responsible for the investigation and/or assessment of workplace accidents and/or near-miss investigations. This includes safety managers, safety officers, occupational health and safety specialists, and occupational health and safety technicians. Course topics include accident investigation purpose and planning; root cause analysis; Fishbone diagrams; Roles and responsibilities; investigative process; six-step accident investigation procedure; accident analysis techniques; preparing an investigation kit; interviewing techniques; developing accident investigation reports; and implementing appropriate follow-up actions. #312 Intermediate NFPA 70E Safety Standard Compliance

Course Description:  This course provides intermediate instruction on the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E industry standard regarding electrical safety requirements in the workplace.  NFPA 70E is an industry-recognized safety standard that is utilized by employers and employees in compliance with OSHA 1910 Subpart S and OSHA 1926 Subpart K.  The course covers electrical safety-related work practices, required personal protective equipment (PPE), warning labels, and Lockout Tagout procedures.  The course also includes NFPA 70E guidelines and practices that aim to reduce the exposure of workers to major electrical hazards like shock, arc flash, arc blast, and fire ignition.  Contact hours: 8, CEUs: 0.8

#340 Competent Person: Excavation and Trenching

Course Description:  This course provides instruction for participants to be capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards related to excavation and trenching in the surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees. Specific topics include practical soil mechanics and its relationship to the stability of shored and non-shored slopes and walls of excavations, introduction of various types of shoring (wood timbers and hydraulic), soil classification, testing methods and equipment, and use of protective systems. #615 Qualified Crane Signal Person 

Course Description:  This course is intended for any worker required to serve as a Qualified Crane Signal Person. It provides instruction for workers to assure that employers meet the requirements of §1926.1419 Subpart CC for Signal Persons.  Topics include standard terminology; crane characteristics and limitations; signal person responsibilities; when a signal person is required; hand, voice, and audible signals; crane dynamics; clearance requirements for cranes; dangers of side loading; dangers of two-blocking; causes of mobile crane tipping; causes of structural failures; load or fall zone hazards; and working around power lines. This course consists of live presentation and discussion which provides a comprehensive overview of the standard and its requirements. Students also engage through self-paced knowledge checks in the LMS. Course Description:  Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) applies to any employees who are exposed to hazardous substances and who are engaged in several operations including clean-up, treatment, storage and disposal of hazardous waste.  Workers involved in an emergency response operation dealing with hazardous waste and workers who perform duties at waste sites where hazardous contamination are also expected to be fully trained and protected.  This course provides a HAZWOPER overview and serves as a refresher for those who have previously completed HAZWOPER training.  This online version also includes a bonus module: HAZWOPER Safety Orientation.
