To succeed in this role, you must have an advanced degree in industrial hygiene, safety, or a closely related discipline, with at least 15 years of relevant experience, and demonstrated success with practice leadership and salesmanship. Experience with environmental compliance is a plus.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

Sell and execute H&S audit programs for industrial and commercial facilities, particularly manufacturing operations. Deploy teams to implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with Federal OSHA, State Programs, and other relevant regulatory standards.

Lead teams to develop, manage, and implement management systems for clients.

Develop and lead engagements to conduct training, field coaching, and assessment for safety performance improvement projects.

Arrange on-site Health & Safety compliance support at client facilities.

Lead and mentor teams of consultants working at differing levels of experience. The teams will sometimes consist of employees working in Arlington, VA, but will also often include employees and subcontractors around the globe.

Provide mentoring efforts to advance the technical and regulatory knowledge of qualified staff.

Develop and expand business for the practice through self-initiated efforts, and by working with other leaders of the Environment and Health practice.

Recruit and train relevant staff to support your work.
Qualifications:

Advanced degree in industrial hygiene, safety, or a closely related discipline, with at least 15 years of experience in Health & Safety management.

Relevant certification, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Professional Engineer (P.E.).

Demonstrated knowledge of occupational Health & Safety regulations and industry best practices. For example, experience in presenting at conferences and industry events.

Accomplished in managing client expectations and developing new business with corporations and law firms.
