The Global Occupational Safety and Health Academy conducts a wide range of occupational safety and health courses for safety professionals and workers in various industries. The training is based on learning objectives established by former senior management staff from the OSHA Directorate of Training and Education. The curriculum is developed by safety experts, many of whom have advanced degrees and CSP or CIH certifications. Most of the instructors for the courses conducted at the Academy are former instructors from the OSHA Training Institute (OTI), while others have experience as OSHA Outreach trainers, or experience teaching at OTI Education Centers. Global OSHA courses are organized by series and include the following.
#100 series courses are designed at an introductory level. The training focuses on hazard recognition and avoidance. These courses are appropriate for workers, and as an introduction to safety and health for personnel of all levels. Classes are composed of a combination of mandatory and elective topics. These courses are one day in length. The courses are segmented by trade and include the following.

#200 series courses are designed at an intermediate level. The training focuses on hazard awareness, recognition, avoidance, and abatement. These courses are appropriate for workers, and for individuals with some safety or supervisory responsibility. Classes are composed of a combination of mandatory and elective topics. These courses are three days in length. The courses are segmented by trade and include the following.

#300 series courses are are designed at an intermediate level to meet the needs of workers and safety professionals who would like to benefit from the Global OSHA curriculum, but are unable to attend multi-day courses. This also includes intensive prep courses for ASP, CSP, and CIH exams. These courses are one day in length. The topics for these courses include, but are not limited to, the following.


#400 series courses are designed at an advanced level for the experienced worker and for safety professionals. The training expands on hazard recognition and avoidance, and addresses hazard abatement and general safety standards. These courses are three days in length. #500 series courses include the trainer authorization courses, which are three days in length. This also includes Global OSHA Course #550 Fundamentals of Adult Training, which serves as the prerequisite course for all trainer authorization courses, and is eight hours in length.
